Erick Hernandez Excelent combination of organic and electronic sounds where each of the tracks tells their own story. Songs and melodies energetic and melancholic at the same time with progressive but not predictable armony. This could be an excelent soundtrack for a hackers movie or videogame. Favorite track: Sooner Or Later.

Zapper the 3L3CTR1FY1Ng This much to this album than what is already there, the sound is precision and focus imagery without any use of images to describe it, even more so to add within, the addition of the remixes by Matt Lange and Anthony Baldino increase the complexity of the sound as I hold these two artist really high in regards to there production and there way of expressing themselves... Favorite track: Lies (Anthony Baldino Remix).

Kris Aroo I nearly shed a tear when I saw this. I collect music on occasion, but this marks the day of my first vinyl purchase. Emergence had a massive impact on my musical direction and at times, just my life in general. I also couldn't have asked for a better tracklist of remixes. Everything about this release is just perfect. A very personal thank you, Brian. And on a side note, Hybrid's remix of Parks On Fire was so lit, that it set my Pants On Fire. Favorite track: Parks On Fire (Hybrid Remix).

This is a celebration of the 10 year anniversary of the release of Emergence. Emergence was the beginning of an incredible journey that continues to this day! Emergence (Special Edition) features the original 11 tracks plus 12 remixes by some of our favorite artists, good friends, inspirations, and a brand new Trifonic bonus track!

Emergence was Trifonic’s debut album. It was written and recorded in 2007, and released on February 26, 2008.

About the title:
The term emergence refers to many simple, independent actions giving rise to complex systems and patterns. It’s similar to the concept of order out of chaos. Emergence can be seen in everything from the formation of molecules and the evolution of complex organisms, to behavior in ant colonies and flocks of birds, to traffic patterns and stock markets.

The concept of emergence is applicable in many ways to how we make our music. We typically start with a single sound or idea that we find interesting — maybe a guitar amp setting, a bass note, or just some sort of ambience. Then we begin adding other elements, shaping and refining the sound of each one as we go. This process of layering sounds eventually leads us to the melodies and rhythms that define each song. As a track begins to take shape we start to get a sense of what the finished product might look like. But the track often becomes something very different by the time we’re done with it.
